Brett Harned

Brett Harned is a dig­i­tal project man­age­ment con­sul­tant, writer, and speak­er hail­ing from The City of Broth­er­ly Love. Apro­pos for some­one who has ded­i­cat­ed years of his career to grow­ing the dig­i­tal project man­age­ment com­mu­ni­ty. His work as a con­sul­tant focus­es on solv­ing issues that are impor­tant to orga­ni­za­tions who want to pro­duce qual­i­ty dig­i­tal projects in har­mo­ny. He loves build­ing process­es and com­mu­ni­ca­tion tac­tics that work not only for projects, but for the peo­ple involved in them.

He began blog­ging about his adven­tures in project man­age­ment in 2010 when he real­ized that the per­cep­tions of the PM posi­tion were just a lit­tle off. Since, he has spo­ken at events like SXSW and The Future of Web Design, writ­ten for var­i­ous pub­li­ca­tions includ­ing .net mag­a­zine and pmhut​.com, and taught Uni­ver­si­ty cours­es and work­shops. He took his pas­sion for bet­ter­ing the craft of dig­i­tal project man­age­ment to a whole new lev­el when he cre­at­ed and orga­nized the most sat­is­fy­ing project of his career: the Dig­i­tal PM Summit.
