I use my background in business and design combined with my interest in politics and workplace democracy to inform the operations and positioning of Louder Than Ten.
We fight like hell for electoral democracy, but when it comes to the institutions that affect us most directly (and where we spend the majority of our waking life), our workplaces, the default mode is dictatorship.
The truth is, voting for a politician will never have as much impact as having a direct say in how many hours you work, how you and your peers get paid, your job security, your benefits, or how you’re treated at work.
Bringing democracy to work begins in the operating procedures and decision-making power afforded to employees. Project management is one of the most powerful tools we have to design processes and distribute power in more equitable ways.
I want digital workers to be as passionate about workplace democracy as they are about design systems and development frameworks.
